Revealing the mechanism behind universal gravitational constant G: by establishing universal gravitational constant equation, the newly discovered and verified Mechanism-Revealed Gravitational Theory (MRGT) reveals that the mechanism behind universal gravitational constant G is the reduction in the scales of space and time in gravitational field, i.e., the value of G represents the reduction in the scales of space and time occurring in gravitational field. In other words, the fact that the value of G is not equal to zero is the indisputable fact that the scales of space and time in gravitational field are reduced, as can also be regarded as a confirmation or affirmation of the innermost core of MRGT — the scales of space and time increase radially outward (i.e., decrease radially inward) in the gravitational field generated by a rationally massive astronomical object (P. 505 ~ 509, reference #1). [*Note, MRGT = Mechanism-Revealed Gravitational Theory (P. 445 ~ 514, Ch.4B, reference #1)]. The newly established universal gravitational constant equation is on P. 506 as Eq (4-45) (Ch.4B, reference #1).

The key to understanding of the mechanism behind universal gravitational constant G: (i) were if the scales of space and time in gravitational field not reduced, the value of universal gravitational constant G would be always equal to zero. In other words, the fact that the value of G is not equal to zero is the indisputable fact that the scales of space and time in gravitational field are reduced. (ii) As long as you have known the greatest equation in the history of science, which is Einstein’s famous mass-energy equation (E = mc^2 or E0 = mc^2), you will easily understand the mechanism behind universal gravitational constant G, because the law of object’s mass doing work (P. 93 ~ 109, Ch.1A, reference #1), which lays the foundation of revealing the mechanism behind universal gravitational constant G, has also revealed the mechanism behind the greatest equation (P. 114 ~ 118, Ch.1B, reference #1). In other words, as long as you have known why mass has energy, you will easily understand the mechanism behind universal gravitational constant G.
